Making a Brand Board

The Fork and Spoon Brand Board

I have been designing logos for more than 25 years. When I started my own business 10 years ago, I implemented brand boards and style guides into my process. The idea behind the brand board is to organize all your brand elements onto one board that are easily shared after brand launch.

Some brand elements that I often use are:

  • Brand Logo

  • Sub Logos/Watermarks

  • Profile Header Photography

  • Color Palette

  • Patterns/Textures

  • Fonts

When creating this particular brand board, the goal was to illustrate custom monoline graphics that one might see on a retro diner brand in the 1940s-60s. The tone we were going for was quirky and clean.
